VILLAGE HARVEST TO DATE:        106,915 lbs!

   results in      and goes to

With everyone's help, WE DID IT!  Village Harvest is over 100,000 lbs this year!  In fact, we're flying past the 100,000 lb mark and still harvesting -- amazing work...  It's seems like a long time ago that we picked our first Oro Blanco Grapefruit at the very beginning of 2005, then oranges, cherries, apricots, prune plums, apples, persimmons, and back to oranges again.

To celebrate the occasion, there's a new photo gallery on the Village Harvest website -- Come visit!  It's a testament to the abundance literally in our backyards.

In case you thought we're resting on our laurels, there an increasing number of volunteers getting involved in Village Harvest and in fact, right now, we don't have enough trees to keep them all busy.  The MedFly Quarantine has taken many of our usual backyards out of commission, so we're looking for more trees.  It's a good time to get the word out so that we can get even more of the millions of pounds that we estimate is still going to waste out there.
